Ayodele, who previously developed at Royal-Gold Soccer Academy, becomes the first Nigerian player under ZTE’s Portuguese coach Nuno Campos. He is also set to pass through the guidance of former Arsenal and France defender William Gallas, now involved with the club’s youth structure.

Founded in 1920, ZTE are based in the city of Zalaegerszeg and play at the ZTE Arena, which holds 14,000 fans. The club, whose colours are traditionally white and blue, lifted their only Hungarian league title in 2002 and earned promotion back to the top division in 2019 after winning the second tier.

Ayodele now looks to carve out a successful European career with a club that has been part of Hungarian football history for more than a century.
